Spoiled Swiss Kid Wants New Ferrari, Sets Fire to Old One
A son torched a Ferrari, which was a gift from his father, because he wanted an upgrade. He has been given a property portfolio from his father worth around 30 million United States dollars and he also received up to 10,000 USD monthly, from his parent.
Despite this, he still wanted a newer auto after getting the Ferrari 458 Italia valued.
According to German publication 20 minutes, the Swiss millionaire’s son and three accomplices burned out his Ferrari 458 Italia in March of previous year. However, the son was unable to meet the quoted price for the said model, which was at $193,500. Three accomplices were recruited, including a person working at the dealership, and to avoid suspicion the group crossed the border into Germany to do the dirty deed. However, security camera footage and telephone recordings led to a prompt arrest of those involved.
It was heard the 20-year-old, who has keys to 14 other cars including a Lamborghini, rounded up three accomplices and paid them handsomely to burn the Ferrari out.
The information surrounding the case was divulged in court proceedings that took place last week in Augsburg, Germany, close to where the auto was destroyed.
The judge sentenced him to 22 months probation and a €21,500 fine. The accomplices received probations of between 14 and 16 months each.
This simply shows that the 458 Speciale’s engine is the most powerful naturally aspirated V-8 ever launched in a Ferrari road vehicle.
