Tom Brady Courtroom Artist Apologizes for Sketch, Speaks Out Against Cyberbullies
The unflattering sketch of Tom Brady in a New York courtroom has gone viral and inspired thousands of memes.
Rosenberg, who has covered many high profile court sessions, told the Herald she wasn’t one of the artists who asked Brady to autograph their sketches Wednesday.
“I knew the story would be about Roger Goodell and Tom Brady, so I was thinking I have to try to have them included in the sketch”, she said.
Her contrition took a little back step when speaking with The Boston Globe, though.
Yeah, it’s rough. It doesn’t look much like a human, regular, actual representation of Mr. Brady – Jane Rosenberg, the artist, noted that she doesn’t have a lot of time to get detailed with her pastels, and she just tried to focus on the chiseled aspect of his face.
It looks like testicle puns weren’t the funniest thing to come out of Twitter’s Deflategate obsession after all.
Sketch artist Jane Rosenberg said she’s getting tons of nasty emails from Patriots fans.
While all pretense of Tom Brady’s humanity has already fallen away in the months since the New England Patriots cheated their way to their fourth tainted Super Bowl championship, his symmetrical, conventionally handsome, if not mannequin-esque face had remained unspoiled. “Why bother? What’s the point for these people to write these things?”
If reports are true, then Tom Brady might find himself on the losing end of a legal case: The supposed divorce proceedings with his wife, supermodel Giselle Bunchen.
Now I know it is only pre-season but at least it is football meaning the season in near. I’m my biggest critic, myself. “I think athletes understand there are good days and bad days”. So when the whole world is criticizing me, I might just kill myself.
