FORM pupils are celebrating are another set of outstanding results
Our students have worked extremely hard and we congratulate them all on their dedication.
“What is particularly pleasing is the very strong value added scores – showing the incredible progress made by the students during the time they studied within the sixth form and how they bettered their predicted grades”.
There were outstanding achievements for Daniel Seal, Simon Hulse and Sam Moore.
Robyn Whaley achieved two A* grades, an A and a B and will go on to study English at Nottingham University. I had a unconditional offer anyway but I wanted to prove myself.
“It’s a fantastic day and I am so proud of all of our pupils”.
Top scoring females were Holly Vickery, Natalie Yung, Kirsty Calder and Ria Searle with a clutch of A and A* grades.
“The exams were not easy”. I’m trying to keep it mellow but it’s the best feeling ever. “I am really happy for my friends too”.
These results demonstrate that the Centre is continuously providing high quality education to all students in Bristol and the wider Bristol area and more importantly that students feel challenged and supported to achieve their very best.
A record number of students from Folkestone Academy will be taking up places at university.
“My first choice is Leicester and I need A, A, B to go there”.
There were plenty of smiles at Sheldon School too where around 40 per cent of students achieved a least one A grade result.
One of the top achievers at AS level was Reece Mears, 17, who achieved no fewer than five A grades.
Amongst a wide range of successes are Rachel Arrowsmith, who will take up a place to study Electronic Engineering at the University of Sheffield, and Hannah Hambleton-Jewell, who will study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nottingham.
Coun Patricia Bradwell, Executive Councillor for Children’s Services said: “I am delighted that yet again nearly all students in Lincolnshire schools have passed their A-levels, and that the proportion awarded the highest grades continues to rise”.
