He said he’s leading in rap – and pop – because his sound isn’t based on sampling older songs: “When you hear Fetty Wap music, it’s all new music….”
The musician from New Jersey, who gained worldwide fame for his track, “Trap Queen”, might be collaborating with Taylor Swift and Drake.
Tuesday, the Royals posted pictures from rapper Fetty Wap’s visit to the clubhouse. “He was calling and calling, making sure I was all right, asking me if I need anything”.
Back in May, Fetty Wap detailed how the “My Way” remix with Drake came to be. He started rapping two years ago, and “Trap Queen” was one of the first songs he recorded. “She was just giving me information on day-to-day things”, Fetty Wap said.
“I tried to call his phone but I think he changed his number”, he said. Like as I get further as an artist… She was telling me real key pointers.
“I felt like I was talking to a business person”.
“It ain’t how like I be seeing it on TV where they arguing and stuff”. I hope he took notes, though, because they didn’t exchange numbers. In an interview, surfaced yesterday, stated that he has “something big planned” with Drake. While visiting the Big Boy’s Morning Show on Hot 92.3 in Los Angeles, the “Trap Queen” rapper teased that he and Drizzy have something else in the works.
