Here are the First Screenshots for Dragon Quest XI
The PS4 version, in Unreal Engine 4, looks just stunning.
Square Enix revealed the first screenshots for Dragon Quest XI: In Search of the Departed Time, that shows us a closer look at the upcoming game on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS. It’s a handsome game, and in regards to the battle system, the development team has shifted away from the first-person view of the classic games, replacing it with a sweeping camera like in Dragon Quest VIII and IX. Based on the franchise’s localization track record, things aren’t necessarily in favor of people that don’t live in Japan. Be sure to let us know what you think of them in the comments section.
The images feature from both the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo 3DS versions of the game are shown. There is no word on a release in Western territories so far, but at least Dragon Quest fans can look forward to play Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below in October. Square Enix has stated that the game’s release in North America and Europe is still under consideration.
Looking at those gorgeous screenshots, it’d be a shame if Dragon Quest 11 doesn’t get a worldwide release. Suffice to say, many will be asking Square Enix to localize them.
