Fallout Shelter Now Available on Android
Fallout Shelter is available now on the iOS App Store and Google Play.
Today’s launch includes all-new game updates (which have also been added to the game’s iOS version), including the introduction of Mr. Handy – the ultimate robotic companion – as a premium reward.
In the leaked video, some mini-games were also featured and these included those that involved survival tactics such as lockpicking and hacking.
With the official release of Fallout Shelter on Android tomorrow August 13, Bethesda Softworks aims to gain Android’s 78 percent share of the smartphone market. The game is free, but there are in-app purchases that allow you to get items to better equip your vault dwellers against radiation, raiders and Rad-roaches. Basically, the robot putters around your vault automatically “clicking” on rooms for you, so you’ll get water, power, and food without needing to do anything. They usually run around your vault and attack your dwellers, if you don’t take them out fast, it will affect the whole operation of the vault.
Fallout Shelter is the Fallout variant of the mobile management games genre, in which you have to build a vault and act as an overseeing manager.
Gamers are in charge of creating their own underground vault to help keep their residents safe, happy, and healthy even with a nuclear wasteland outside.
Fallout Shelter comes to Android tomorrow and Fallout 4 comes to PC, PS4 and Xbox One November 10, 2015. E3 is a place where the big companies show off their games, and Fallout 4 is one of the most anticipated games of this year, as it is the sequel to the massively popular Fallout 3. As the excitement over the game quickly swept across social media, the release left thousands of Android users asking “What about us?”
