Andromeda’s Combat to Feel Similar to ME3, Don’t Expect Familiar
Mass Effect remains one of the series I care most dearly about. Because of that, the new game will not bring back any of the old characters. It’ll be mostly based on the combat system for Mass Effect 3, which definitely had the best combat of the three. And for the very first time, Mass Effect will have multiplayer option in its latest installment. Look, we all know how badly Bioware messed up the ending of ME3.
Chris Wynn, senior development director at the studio told a fan as much earlier on Twitter. But Mass Effect Andromeda won’t have anybody who was previously in the series. Wynn also spoke about how the developer has to rebuild the game’s mechanics within a brand-new engine.
BioWare first announced that it was working on Mass Effect: Andromeda during E3 2015, at Electronic Arts Inc.’s (NASDAQ:EA) press conference. What are your thoughts on this and how it ties into the Mass Effect lore? This will give the game familiar feel while still allowing room to evolve. It wouldn’t make sense, according to BioWare.
This is primarily due to Andromeda taking place in a completely different galaxy.
Because that’s awesome. One thing we do know for sure is that none of the characters from the previous Mass Effect trilogy will be making an appearance in Andromeda.
