Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck say they’re getting divorced
After 10 years together, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced Tuesday that they are getting divorced.
Ben and Jennifer, who married in 2005, have three children together, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. They said in their statement that they will “go forward with love and friendship”, and with a commitment to “co-parenting” their children. “It is important for them to keep this nice and efficient for the sake of their family”. “Thank you for understanding”, they said.
Mr. Affleck has only been married once, but former high-profile partners have included Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Lopez – the couple were known as “Bennifer“.
The source described them as “two ships passing in the night”.
In recent weeks, the couple’s troubled marriage was making headlines, with reports the two were arguing and spending time apart.
Batman star Affleck, 42, met Garner, 43, on the set of superhero movie Daredevil.
The gorgeous actress praised Affleck previous year in an interview with InStyle, claiming that she was still enjoying marriage despite the “courtship” period being over. The split was described as “amicable” and the ex- couple will share joint custody of their children. Affleck to the casino, Garner to wherever she hangs out. No matter how much I tickle them or toss them or chase them around, it’s not the same.
Speculation about the state of their marriage increased after Affleck referred to their relationship as “work” while accepting the award for Best Picture for his film Argo in 2013.
Back when rumors of the couple’s demise were first eking out, it was revealed that Ben and Jennifer had been living in separate homes for quite a while.
The couple made the sad revelation just one day after their 10-year wedding anniversary. “And there’s no one I’d rather work with”, he said.
A second source added that their split had nothing to do with their anniversary on 29th June, saying the timing was simply a coincidence and in no way had to do with money reasons.
