Celebrities on BET Awards red carpet curate Black Music Month playlist
Sean Combs, better known by his rapper name Diddy, dropped to the floor Sunday night during his performance at the BET Awards, the biggest show that pays tribute to the best black music, entertainment, sports and acting figures in the United States every year. At the awards show, several of Jackson’s longtime friends and collaborators came on stage to perform a tribute to the pop/RnB star.
Diddy led a reunion of unique Bad Boy musicians together with Faith Evans, the Lox and Ma$ e on the present. A video montage of rap king Notorious B.I.G. played in the background as his verse from “Mo Money Mo Problems” played.
The ceremony took a huge stance taking notice at the epidemic that has crippled the nation with tons of black lives being lost.
She added, “To all the fans, I’ve missed you so much and I love you so much”. “I’m so thankful and happy to have the loyal fans … and everybody here that knows me, to know me is to love me”.
P Diddy is facing a severe roasting on Twitter after falling OFF the stage mid-song at Sunday night’s 2015 BET Awards.
Another exciting moment was when ex- Disney princess Zendaya showed up on the red carpet. But she gave a very emotional and touching speech, in which she thanked the hosts of BET and also the crowd for their support. It carries a special vibe that is at once both classic and futuristic.
Clearly channelling his inner Madonna, Diddy quickly pulled himself out of the hole and continued the performance as if the embarrassing faux-pas never even happened.
And when Anthony accepted the trophy for Best New Artist on behalf of Sam Smith, who wasn’t in attendance, the funnyman had the audience roaring with laughter.
Smith was beyond excited to hear that he won an award and tweeted his gratitude to the BET Awards. Tinashe, who has been compared to the Grammy victor since making her debut, opened the performance before Jason Derulo broke it down to the iconic songstress’ “All for You”.
