Here’s Your First Look At ‘Finding Dory’
Pixar has released a number of incredibly successful movies over the years, but few rival the power of Andrew Stanton’s Finding Nemo.
Lasseter, who will be back to direct “Toy Story 4”, said no new footage can be unveiled so far since it’s a little early in the production, but he did reveal a pretty valuable piece of information.
Thus, expectations run high for the next chapter, which was confirmed to be a love story between Woody and Bo Peep, a toy that was “lost” in between “Toy Story 2″ and “Toy Story 3″.
He said: “It’s something we’ve never done with Toy Story before”.
And who are the two characters heading for a romance? The Toy Story trilogy that spanned 15 years would have proper closure. Bo is missing from Toy Story 3, written out in a throwaway line, and Toy Story 4 will see Buzz Lightyear and Woody go on an adventure to find the love of Woody’s life.
Woody was voiced by Academy Award victor Tom Hanks in all of the “Toy Story” films while Bo Peep was voiced by Annie Potts.
Ellen said it is very important for children to grow up watching characters that are flawed. “Toy Story” 1 and 2 were also directed by Lasseter himself. In the past, the “Toy Story” franchise has tackled the love between a boy and his childhood toys, while other films focus on the love between great friends but the next “Toy Story” film will be a romantic love-story.
The studio previewed its animation slate and made a number of announcements at the fan convention D23 Expo on Friday, with special appearances from some voice actors including Ellen DeGeneres and Dwayne Johnson.
Toy Story 4 will be released June 16, 2017. Pixar film about a Apatosaurus named Arlo who faces his fears and some intimidating characters, including a trio of T-Rexes played by AJ Buckley, Anna Paquin and Sam Elliott.
“Our research took us deep into the South Pacific”, said Clements. “We are incredibly lucky to be able to work with three fantastic artists who are the absolute best at what they do”.
