Iron Maiden unveil new single
This video is a well-built homage to games released over the past forty years, probably because Iron Maiden is now celebrating their 40th anniversary (feel old?).
Iron Maiden fans couldn’t contain their excitement, after the heavy metal band released their new track, Speed Of Light.
“Speed Of Light” is the first single off the upcoming album The Book of Souls, Iron Maiden’s first album since 2010’s The Final Frontier. “Well, I mean, speaking voice-wise, everything is fine”, says Dickinson. It’s not that I’m impatient, I just think now that there are more important things to do than waste my time on people who are just wasting my time, there are more important things really. The inside of my head has been cooked, pretty effectively. Let us know in the comments! I haven’t gone out and done the equivalent of trying to run a hundred metres in the same way that I used to sing before.
Bassist Steve Harris recently said their front-man Bruce Dickinson was singing better than ever – and it is quite evident from the release. “We’ve got loads of time”. Artist Mark Wilkinson, who has previously made art for Maiden, Judas Priest and Marillion, designed The Book of Souls’ cover.
Having grown up on Iron Maiden (and being firmly in their camp in that age-old Maiden vs. Priest argument), I’m cheering the band on.
