Long Island Woman Gives Birth to Twin’s Baby After Cancer Diagnosis

While the sisters have been at an oncologist appointment 6 years in the past, Dawn made a promise to her sister that she would carry her child if she needed one other one.

The expectant mother immediately underwent chemotherapy and had an emergency C-section, giving her a healthy baby boy.

On August 5, Dawn gave start to Hudson William Dinkelacker, who weighed in at eight kilos, 13 ounces and is 20.5 inches lengthy.

“How can we begin to thank you for the tremendous generosity and sacrifice you have so willingly bestowed these last few months?”

Allison posted a thank you note to her sister online.

Congratulations to Allison Dinkelacker, and much gratitude to Dawn Policastro, the woman’s twin whose baby Hudson was born without further complications.

The details were not given as to how Dawn was able to pull off this feat for her sister, but the procedure was a success. She kept the baby’s sex a secret, even managing to hide a “Shhh…It’s a boy!” sign during a maternity photo shoot.

Twins are said to have a special bond, though two sisters in New York may have raised the bar.

While Allison waited for Dawn to carry her baby full term, a professional photographer had taken a variety of photos of the two.

“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer six years ago I knew that me being told I had cancer was as devastating to Dawn as it was to me”, Dinkelacker said in the post.

The photos of the sisters on Maffettone’s Facebook page have received more than 80,000 “Likes” and have been shared by more than 15,000 Facebook users as of Thursday morning. What we are most grateful for is the gift you have given to Dylan-the gift of being a big brother–a dream that we all had and that you made come true!!!
