TechLand totally willing to pick up Dead Island 2
Dying Light is not a short game.
Techland, developer of the first Dead Island, says that it would be happy to pick up development.
Unlike Dying Light, which took place inside a single city, The Following heads into the country. New weapons introduced will include a new crossbow, SMGs and shotguns, and there will be fully-drivable and upgradeable vehicles. With its new map and far-reaching gameplay additions, it feels like we’ve hit the sweet spot for what players are expecting from us.
“An important part of this experience is commandeering all-terrain buggies and enjoying the game’s creative brutality and freedom of movement in high gear”. “But drivable vehicles are only one of many new features we’re preparing for The Following”.
Techland created the original Dead Island and 2013 follow-up Dead Island: Riptide before moving on to create its own zombie IP Dying Light. “I hope that we will see some more Dead Island in the future and I hope that Yager is not affected that much as it may seem right now”. Smektala told VideoGamer.com that the ideas for the sequel are ambitious to the point that they aren’t certain the current generation of consoles would be able to handle them. For now, the developer is still busy finishing up the expansion. This new expansion is said to be the largest of a healthy selection of additions to the vanilla game, and while a release date has not yet been set in stone, Techland has confirmed that it will be priced at $14.99 United States dollars (and free to all season pass holders).
