Kaka recalled to Brazil’s national team
Kaka earns a recall to the Brazil squad at the expense of Liverpool’s attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho.
‘You can’t build with just youngsters, you need experience to help.
One of the shining lights in an otherwise miserable season for Liverpool last year, Philippe Coutinho produced another stunning strike to secure his team an opening day victory at Stoke.
Dunga also included Barcelona stars Neymar and Dani Alves as well as Kaka, a 33-year-old national hero of yesteryear, who now plays for Orlando City in Major League Soccer.
“I have been a big admirer of Coutinho and he can be a very important player for Liverpool and Brazil“, said Kaka.
Dunga’s squad will take on Costa Rica on 5 September and the United States three days later, with both friendlies to be held in the US.
However, the new teammate of Brazilian, Roberto Firmino makes the cut. “So, I’m so happy and glad to be back in the national team again”.
In September Kaka will trade in his purple kit for the kit of the Selecao.
His form at the Copa America may not have inspired, but one might be inclined to agree many within the Brazil squad were similarly disappointing.
“I know how much playing for Brazil means to Kaka and so I’m really pleased for him”.
Kaká made his return to Brazil under manager Dunga but hasn’t played for the Selecão since October 2014 in a 4-0 win over Japan.
“As for Kaka, we have brought him in for his experience”, said the coach at his press conference.
