Man Assaults Brother For Not Sharing Big Macs, Police Say
State police said Veres was irate when he came home and discovered his 58-year-old brother, Matthew Veres, had eaten all three Big Macs and did not save one for him.
Thomas Veres allegedly ransacked the house on Pleasant Street, knocking over furniture, appliances and throwing food throughout the home, police said.
Alvarez, Enid/New York Daily News Police allege Matthew J. Veres ate three McDonald’s burgers and didn’t save any for his brother, which touched off a food fight.
Bekavac said Matthew Veres knocked on her door a few hours later.
A McFlurry is one thing, but rage over a Big Mac hardly seems worth it.
She added she was glad she declined the offer for fear of being drawn into the ensuing brotherly beef. The victim reportedly suffered injuries to his right eye, left cheek and ear.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for Thomas Veres, 47, who remained in the Washington County Jail on charges of simple assault and harassment Wednesday.
