Farmers Branch neighbor feud escalates to sign in woman’s yard
Only Ann Felton, the neighbor closest to the feuding homes said she sees both sides.
In large red font, it states: ‘House for sale by owner because my neighbor’s a douchebag!’
The Prices have no plan to take the sign down.
Jay isn’t alone in believing the attention-grabbing sign was acceptable.
However, the Prices are refusing to do so.
They say they thought they’d worked everything out until they discovered cameras facing their backyard, where their daughter sunbathes. We put the sign up maybe hoping he’d back off but we just would like to live peacefully.
Lisa Price said five police officers and a city councilman have visited their home since Sunday, asking them to remove the signs, which refers to a feminine hygiene product.
On Pebble Beach Drive in Farmers Branch, there’s a home for sale. The Prices say a retired couple moved in to the house next to theirs about two years ago, and since then the Prices have received several complaints about their dogs from the couple. One points toward their back bedroom.
It was a $120 citation for barking dogs. “We obviously had to be pushed pretty far to go to this extreme”.
Dede Sons said she laughed. The consensus among Yahoo commenters is that James and Lisa Price are the ones who are making neighbors uncomfortable with their barking dogs.
The sign has divided opinion on Pebble Drive.
The neighbors had a mixed response to the sign, according to CBS. ‘It could have been a lot cruder’.
“Our sign ordinance has very little language about private property, so when it comes down to something like this, it is a first amendment right”, Farmers Branch city spokesman Tom Bryson told ABC News today.
The city considers it to be a real estate sign and as long it meets city codes, which it does, no action can be taken against Price.
