Jeb Bush will be opening night guest on Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’
We are just under a month away from the return of US talk show, The Late Show, this time returning with comedian Stephen Colbert at the helm, following the in May after a 33-year career and Colbert has promised he will shake things up in a big way. He added, “I’d like to see more diversity – there should be a female host, another African-American host in late-night”. “So, right now, I’m just dry-Trumping”, Colbert joked, according to a transcript acquired by Business Insider.
Stephen Colbert revealed recently that his first musical guest will be Kendrick Lamar when The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premieres on September 8 on CBS.
He also had some harsh words for fiery Justice Antonin Scalia, who said, “I would hide my head in a bag” if he ever joined a majority opinion that began as Anthony Kennedy’s did.
He wants his show to appeal to women, although he realizes that a female audience isn’t essential for late-night success.
Colbert continued to win over the female demographic with the following thought: “Sometimes I wonder whether the world would be a better place if women were in charge”. “What you will find is someone who is very of-the-moment”, she said. Simply tell the men of the world that you’re trying to start a campfire. “As soon as I’m home, off they go – and I’m knuckle-deep in a pot of honey”. “I asked him do you mind me asking you these questions?” I’m not sure how he managed a skit where he asked prominent feminists to get in his kitchen and then convincingly promoted their ideals, but he did it.
