Sam Bradford will be held out of preseason opener
So, go execute and have a great time playing.
Philadelphia Eagles fans are excited about the prospect of Sam Bradford slinging the ball around in Chip Kelly’s offense. If history is any factor Chip Kelly could be turning to Mark Sanchez, or even Tim Tebow sooner than expected, so there’s no better time for the Pope to come help out the team and bless Sam’s knees.
“I know he’s disappointed, but it’s my call”, Kelly said. Barkley only played in one game last season in mop-up duty, and three game his rookie season.
And on Sunday, when the Eagles face the Colts, we’ll get to see just how much Tebow’s improved – assuming he gets on the field. In 2013, McCoy had a knee injury that limited him until the day before the preseason game, but Kelly kept him out. “I was laughing because, before he did it, he asked, ‘Can we get those guys some mojitos and maybe some fans?'”
“Obviously, I wanted to be out there”. If Tebow plays well during his first live action in two years, some may think Barkley will need a prayer to stay in Philadelphia. “I’ll be ready to roll next week and get out there and play against the Ravens”. He completed two passes as he led the Eagles on a touchdown drive. I’m talking about the pope. “This has nothing to do with the knee – I think this has been kinda his plan from the beginning”.
Bradford, the former No. 1 overall who was acquired via trade with the Rams in exchange for Nick Foles and a second-round pick, didn’t play in last year’s preseason opener as he was coming back from a torn ligament in his left knee. Despite it being the first of four games, all eyes will be on the Eagles’ offense.
A writer for nj.com said that, “It is becoming more clear that Barkley is a better pure passer than Tebow”. Ertz had surgery to fix the injury on Friday. Trying to get his acclimated.
Kelly praised Tebow for his improvement during the offseason, though his training camp performance has reportedly been a mix of good and bad. It’s very hard to determine who you want on your roster for 16 weeks based just off of training camp scenarios. Apparently, that wasn’t the problem.
“He’s coming along”, Kelly said. “The [missing] reps weren’t really important”. Tim’s just one of us. “We’re going to sit him this game and he’ll be able to play against the Ravens”.
DeMeco Ryans, Mychal Kendricks, and Kiko Alonso are all listed as starting inside linebackers. He talked to trainers before returning to work.
