Tracy Morgan to host ‘SNL’ in October
“SNL” tweeted the announcement on Monday, saying that Morgan will be hosting the third episode of its 41st season. The actor and comedian was involved in a horrific traffic collision on June 17, 2014, which put him in a coma for two weeks.
Tracy Morgan is returning to television as host of “Saturday Night Live” in October. While this will be Schumer’s first time hosting, Cyrus has both hosted and performed before. The musical guests for the first three shows will be revealed at a later date.
Morgan, 46, suffered broken ribs, a broken nose, and broken leg when a Walmart tractor-trailer hit the limo bus that the comedian was traveling in on the New Jersey Turnpike previous year.
In June, Morgan appeared on NBC’s “Today” to speak about the deadly accident for the first time. Schumer’s upcoming comedy special “Amy Schumer: Live from the Apollo” premieres October 17th.
Cyrus is set to kick off the season as the host of the series’ October 3 outing, while Schumer will serve as the night’s emcee on Saturday, October 10. “If he were here tonight, I’m sure Tracy would remind us that more than anything, he’d like to get us all pregnant”.
