Phantasy Star Online 2 Announced for PS4 in Japan
This will be rolled out to PC and PlayStation Vita editions at a later date.
The translation of a Dengeki Online page revealed more information and images relating to the announcement of the game. It is also unknown if the online game will come to Western shores, as the title has been a South East Asian exclusive for quite some time now.
SEGA announced yesterday that Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2016 and will be playable at next month’s Tokyo Game Show(TGS).
The Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation group should have a truly authentic tale, and of course the legend is going to adopt PSO2 gamers “who could be near…” Fans in the area will be able to try out the PS4 version and see its difference from the PC and Vita versions.
Sega once had a plan to release the game on these shores, but the last we heard of it was in September 2012 during PAX.
The massively-multiplayer online game will make its PS4 debut in Japan next year.
