Huge title fight set to co-headline Jose Aldo vs Conor McGregor
The UFC middleweight title is finally going to be in the center ring as Chris Weidman defends his title against Luke Rockhold in UFC 194 at the MGM Grand Las Vegas this coming December 2015, according to Bleacher Report. He was last seen in May posting a TKO victory over a TRT-less Vitor Belfort at UFC 187. He was able to win against the legendary Anderson Silva twice and even took a second-round submission at another legendary UFC fighter Lyoto Machida last April.
As well as his fourth-straight finish.
Until then… early predictions?
Rockhold (13-2) will be looking to earn up his fifth straight win inside the Octagon.
It will serve as the co-main event, with Jose Aldo defending his featherweight title against interim champion Conor McGregor in the main event. One of the most notable answers was Weidman’s desire to move up to light heavyweight in the not so far off future.
Set for December 12 in Las Vegas, the card features a featherweight title unification match between Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor.
Part of it may be history of injuries; the champ has pulled out of three title fights recently that left the UFC scrambling to put together marketable cards. The former Strikeforce middleweight champion also holds wins over Michael Bisping, Ronaldo Souza and Tim Kennedy.
UFC President Dana White made the announcement this morning, and the world now collectively hopes that none of the combatants get injured in the meantime.
