Jonathan Grafton and Daphne Mason sought by Oklahoma police for killing
The flag outside the Sapulpa Police Department was lowered to half-staff to honor Pritchard, a veteran of the force who served for more than 15 years.
Police in Oklahoma were searching on Monday for a man and a woman suspected of killing an off-duty policeman and the male suspect’s father over the weekend in a family dispute related to a pickup truck.
Sapulpa Police Lieutenant Trey Pritchard, 46, was found dead in a suburban Oklahoma City motel room in Midwest City on Saturday night along with his cousin Jeffrey Grafton, also 46, according to police.
The 2000 Dodge pickup turned up in western Oklahoma City without the suspects in it the day after police found the bodies in the younger Grafton’s motel room, The Oklahoman reported.
Authorities confirm Jonathan Grafton and Daphne Mason were taken into custody at an Enid convenience store.
Clabes said family members told officers that Jonathan Grafton had stolen his father’s truck and that Pritchard and Jeffrey Grafton tracked the pickup to the motel using the vehicle’s GPS system.
No one called to report gunfire from the motel, Clabes said.
Surveillance video shows Jeffrey Grafton went to the room first, and Pritchard followed him when he did not return.
‘We don’t know where they are at, that’s why we are asking for public assistance’.
“There was a heightened concern that both murder suspects would be violent when faced with arrest”, Clabes said.
The son pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled unsafe substance and drug paraphernalia in June, according to the World.
Police are transferring them to the Midwest City Jail. “We had no clue they were wanted”, Davis said.
