Stevie Wonder to perform at Armory at 10 am
Before the music legend went on stage, it was announced he’ll perform at the Verizon Center on Oct. 3, 2015 as part of his “Songs in the Key of Life Performance” tour.
Sources close to the event told PhillyVoice that Stevie Wonder will make his way to Dilworth Park this Monday afternoon for a free, short pop-up concert at 3 p.m.
Wonder will bring the critically-acclaimed performance, which is a live adaptation of the iconic “Songs in the Key of Life” album, to 20 North American cities beginning Sept. 30 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22.

“He’s going on from here to do the same thing in Philadelphia and then on to New York City, so we’re really lucky to be the first”, says Ted Mankin, vice president of booking at Live Nation.
Rolling Stone reviewed the tour’s opening date last November at Madison Square Garden.
Wonder has had an extensive career, earning 24 Grammy awards, a Golden Globe and an Oscar for his work.
