Ohio mom confesses to killing 3 young sons, police say

Bellefontaine police say a mom has confessed with killing her three sons in just more than a year. Because of the confession and evidence collected, Pilkington has been charged with three counts of murder and is being held in the Logan County Jail. No working telephone number for her home could be found, and no attorney information was available for her.

The charges accuse her in today’s death of Noah Pilkington, a 3-month-old; Niall Pilkington, who was 3 months old when he died on July 22, 2014; and Gavin Pilkington, who was 4 when he died on April 6.

Police were called to the East Sandusky Avenue home of Brittany and Joseph Pilkington Tuesday morning. After the second death, police say they had suspicious, but Brittany’s statements led officers to think it might have been natural.

Again, police were called to the residence April 6, 2015 after Pilkington’s 4-year-old son was found dead by the father. “He’s turning white”. Police haven’t said how he died. The boy’s death is now an open investigation at the Logan County Coroner’s Office. “Our condolences go out to the remaining family members who have supported this family through a very hard 13 months”. They, along with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, interviewed Brittany all day Tuesday.
