Jason Derulo’s crew kicked off Southwest flight
On Saturday (August 15), the “Want to Want me” singer was kicked off a flight at Reno-Tahoe global Airport that was headed to Los Angeles.
People reports that Derulo was traveling from Reno, Nevada, to Los Angeles, Calif., when the incident occured. Eyewitnesses told the site that Derulo and his crew reportedly got angry and started shouting at an airline employee. Southwest declined to do so, the representative said, adding that the airline did allow Derulo on the flight but that when others in the entourage boarded without permission, Southwest notified airport police.
After the debacle, Jason hopped a private jet to L.A.to make it in time for his show, posting a video to his Instagram aboard the plane announcing that he had fired his travel agent.
Derulo booked his own private plane and of course, OF COURSE, went on Instagram to voice his displeasure. “In addition, sources close to Jason say that he is “pretty mad” about how the whole situation was handled”.
DeRulo made an appearance at Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards, following a performance at the Pandora Summer Crush concert on Saturday. “And they weren’t being very accomodating”. “At that point the Southwest agent called the authorities and removed [Jason and his group]”.
According to Southwest, Derulo and group were not following the boarding procedures and their behavior was not appropriate too. You then see one the members of his crew in the background saying, “You can’t kick me off of this!” “I’m getting myself a jet so I won’t have that problem”.
The singer said that he and his team were trying to board through a TSA pre-check to avoid encroaching cameras, but weren’t able because the airport’s system was down.
