New Game Plus Has Arrived for The Witcher 3
CD Projekt Red has been giving gamers all sorts of goodies with The Witcher 3.
Select New Game + and then the save in which you have beaten the game and voila! Over on the GOG.com website they describe what this means for gamers by stating… Players below level 30 will immediately be bumped to that level, according to IGN.
The new mode doesn’t replace the difficulty levels – so you can match it with the existing setting of your choice for a nuanced (or just grindingly tough) degree of challenge. If you can call it that. However, this New Game Plus mode will not allow players to retain their trophies, usable items, and collected Gwent cards.
Being the last piece of DLC that “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” will have, the Game Plus mode offers some things to players. You will get a prompt telling you that new game + has been unlocked. Some gamers may want a more challenging adventure out of The Witcher 3 but with the safety net of saved games and checkpoints.
If you’re confused as to how releasing a free mod kit for its already expansive RPG could get CD Projekt Red in trouble with fans, it’s important to first know the when and what in addition to the why.
With the game’s New Game Plus DLC, gamers – who have already previously finished the game – can repeat “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” experience by starting over with all of their developed character skills and some items, which are inclusive of recipes, gear and money. So the community if they so desire will be left to their own devices to utilize or upgrade the modding tools as they see fit.
The REDkit is a comprehensive modding suite for “The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings” that allows modders to create everything from new items and NPC’s to entire new worlds and quests. There’s a ton of potential for this game and it’s ripe for all sorts of cool total conversions.
