(SD)-Search Continues In Lake Pactola For Missing Woman

The sheriff’s office says Kreycik was first taken to Rapid City Regional Hospital, then transported to Pennington County Jail. Crews are still searching for a missing woman. The search continued until conditions made it too hard to continue, but resumed yesterday morning. That’s what we responded to.

Apparently the Jet Ski operator did not notice the other jet boat and collided with it.

Authorities have identified a Rapid City woman missing in Pactola Reservoir after a boat crash.

White says it will be hard search in the dark. Officials say the search has been hindered by a variety of factors including the water depth at the Bear Gulch entrance crash site is 60-70 feet deep, zero visibility, and the oppressive heat.

According to eyewitness Bill Barndt, of Angostura, two jet boat speedboats were traveling together at about 35 miles per hour in the Jenny Gulch area of the reservoir.

Searchers will soon have a new tool to aid in the Gabby Fisher recovery attempts at Lake Pactola. The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation.
