An Australian Comedian Hilariously Recreated Celebrity Instagrams
Ever felt those celebrity photos that pop up on your Instagram feed are a little unbelievable?
Re-creating celebrity Instagram photos and paparazzi shots isn’t an entirely new idea, but Australian comedian Celeste Barber wins points for having the most enthusiastic low-budget production. “Kim Kardashian posing in a pile of dirt – who does in that in real life?”
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Celeste explained her thinking behind the page. Bearing in mind these stars have an army of hairdressers, make-up artists and stylists behind their “I just got out of bed” Instagram photos, Celeste adds some perspective with her amusing posts.
Miley Cyrus’ raunchy bedtime snap recreated with…a bowl.
“People are really supporting it – I didn’t really care for how it would be perceived, I just started it for my friends who I knew would love it. I continued it because people are telling me it is their daily laugh and they have started to challenge me”, Barber said.
She’s using the hashtag #celestechallengeaccepted – and it’s proved popular, with people now sending her pictures they think she should mimic.
“People are so obsessed with celebrities and celebrities seem to be so obsessed with portraying everyday people”, Barber told the ABC.
Let’s be honest we can’t all look as good as supermodel Miranda Kerr when catching up with a bit of bedtime reading.
