Danica Patrick’s primary sponsor for 2016 revealed
Danica Patrick’s racing career was up in the air earlier this year, with both her contract with Stewart-Haas Racing and her sponsorship with GoDaddy expiring after the 2015 NASCAR season.
“This is really the first year that I’ve had to wonder or worry what I’m going to do in the next year”, Patrick said during the sponsor reveal press conference at SHR headquarters in Huntersville North Carolina Tuesday.
10 Chevrolet will be sponsored by the Nevada-based food brand for 28 of 38 Sprint Cup events on the 2016 schedule.
A nutritional snack company, Nature’s Bakery promotes its products towards those with “active lifestyles” and “health-conscious living”, a demographic that Patrick certainly fits as she frequently shares photos of herself doing yoga and other outdoor activities on social media.
Danica Patrick will remain with Stewart-Haas Racing.
Patrick this season has two Top-10 finishes and now sits in 22nd place in the Sprint Cup Series standings.
“I was really fortunate that I didn’t have to, this is where I wanted to be”, she said.
“It’s an honor to represent Nature’s Bakery and also a great deal of responsibility”, Patrick said.
