Beloit police searching for 2 new suspects in weekend tavern shooting
Beloit police have arrested one man and are looking for two others after a weekend shooting and stabbing outside a bar injured four people.
Beloit emergency crews responded to 1344 E. Grand Ave. just before 2 a.m. for reports of multiple gunshot victims, officials said. He is not a suspect in the shooting.
Rashod Burnett, 22 is wanted in connection to the crime.
Thompson and another Beloit resident, Robert Bittorf, 29, turned up at Beloit Health Systems early Sunday after the shooting.
The fourth victim, 39-year-old Lisa Thompson, was also treated later for a gunshot wound to her behind.
Authorities say the fight began on the dance floor, and escalated to the point that bar owners closed down the bar. The shooting took place outside.
Police say they suspect Davis opened fire with a gun outside the bar, shooting three Beloit residents.
However on Tuesday, police identified an additional suspect and another man they want for questioning.
Meanwhile, another woman walked into Beloit Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound, followed by a man who had been stabbed.
Officials said all of the victims’ injuries are non-life-threatening.
