Bills RB LeSean McCoy has strained hamstring
In Cleveland, the Bills’ two running backs are going to be Hill and Seale.
Bills coach Rex Ryan said McCoy’s hamstring is intact and that no separation from the bone occurred.
“And that’s good news”, the coach said. “But we are getting a MRI on it to see the extent of it. Hopefully, it is not a pull, just a strain”.
The leg injury was later confirmed to be a hamstring injury. After that, it’s all up to the MRI results and how severe the injury actually is.
LeSean McCoy was running a pass pattern in a 7 on 7 drill. Then, rookie Karlos Williams went to the hospital Monday morning and had surgery Monday night and will likely be out at least two weeks, perhaps more.
“He had a procedure, but he’s fine”, Ryan said. The Bills wouldn’t specify what Williams was hospitalized for, however.
Veteran Fred Jackson has been out for nearly all of training camp with a hamstring injury.
“We’re learning just like everybody else and we need the reps to get this offense down just like the young guys do”, Jackson said. And Bryce Brown is out with an undisclosed injury. Undrafted and unproven rookie running backs Bronson Hill and Ricky Seale are currently the only healthy backs on the roster.
The injury is the latest in a long string of ailments for Buffalo’s depleted group of running backs. The Bills were also without Percy Harvin due to a hip injury, to which Rex Ryan admitted that was worse than they initially thought. “Hopefully, this will be something that doesn’t set him back too far”. Do not expect McCoy to be in uniform Thursday when the Bills take on the Browns.
According to the Inquisitr, the Bills are now without their top five running backs.

Here are a few other observations from the final day of two joint practices between the Bills and Browns.
Now he has two days to learn the playbook before playing on national television when the Bills travel to Cleveland. It didn’t come anywhere close to the Robert Woods punch-throwing affair with Stephon Gilmore earlier in camp, but it was notable for some extracurricular activity. With the Bills offense ending their session early in team drills, everyone went to the other field to watch their defense against the Cleveland offense. He walked to the sideline holding the back of his left leg, and then sat on the turf, where he was attended to by numerous trainers. Gray once again showed why the team has taken such a liking to him, using his big frame and athleticism to make a spectacular catch on a throw behind him in the end zone. At least he is familiar with Bills coordinator Greg Roman, who coached Seale during his freshman year at Stanford. He was able to play in all 16 games in 2014 and 2013.
When the play was over, he came out immediately and grabbed his left hamstring. “We’ve just got to stay positive, and it’ll be alright”.
