Gerardo Parra hit his third home run in the last four games with one out in the sixth. Currently the odds for the game have the Mets favored to pick up the win on the road.
Despite getting swept over the weekend by the Pirates, the Mets (63-55) still lead the National League East by 4.5 games over the Washington Nationals.
DeGrom (12-6) allowed just five hits and walked one with six strikeouts over the 7 ²/₃ innings.

In their first visit to Camden Yards since 2010, the Mets had plenty of their own fans in the park, continuing a trend from the last road trip, when the team made stops in Miami and St. Petersburg, Fla. 160 against him in 25 at bats with Manny Machado having the only real success with two hits in three at bats. Third base coach Bobby Dickerson chose to test the arm of rookie left fielder Michael Conforto, and the slow-footed Hardy was thrown out easily at home. Hardy’s double with two outs in the inning had snapped a streak of 11 straight batters retired.
DeGrom is unbeaten over his last six starts, not allowing a run in half of them to lower his ERA to 2.03 – second in the majors to Zack Greinke of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Following a 46-minute delay, during which the tarp covered the infield in preparation of a shower that never arrived, Granderson hit his franchise-record seventh leadoff homer of the season, breaking a tie with Jose Reyes (2006).
