Kia Sportage: Err… So 27-inch Rims Will Make It Into Production?
To build excitement for its press conference, Kia has released three sketches to show the design direction of the next Sportage.
The tailgate aperture, meanwhile, appears to be slightly smaller.
Kia’s trademark “Tiger Nose” design has been enlarged and the headlights have been stretched to fit the long curved bonnet.
The fourth-generation auto, of which so far only an artist’s impression has been issued, is said to boast bold new styling and the most refined cabin yet. Kia also promises reductions in noise and vibration when on the move, as well as improvements to ride comfort and handling. Kia is not making an exception either as it has recently announced to debut the brand new Sportage.
Check back next month for up-to-the-minute photos and coverage of the 2017 Kia Sportage unveiling as AutoGuide.com will be reporting live from the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
At the rear there’s a slender new triangular design to the wraparound tail-lamps, connected through the centre of the tail-gate by either a reflective or LED-lit strip.
Inside, the sketches show a much cleaner dashboard, with a large infotainment screen and a reduced number of buttons on the central console.
2016 Kia Sportage is likely to share its underpinnings and powertrain lineup from Hyundai Tuscon.
Just like the exterior, the newly redesigned Sportage’s interior also conveys a modern, yet elegant style.
