Here’s When You Can Play Yo-kai Watch

The Yo-Kai Watch show is set to premiere this fall on Disney XD, followed by the manga in November from VIZ Media.

Now we have a firm release date courtesy of Nintendo of America – November 6. You explore the world in the game using your Yo-kai Watch to discover more than 200 Yo-kai, then befriend them and turn them into a team to battle other Yo-kai.

Yo-Kai Watch is an RPG in which players assume the role of a boy capable of seeing and interacting with Yo-kai, which are ordinarily invisible. Players can overcome challenges and help various characters solve everyday problems with the help of Yo-kai friends. As of this morning, the latest Yo-kai Watch spin-off has sold 1.3 million units.

“The kinetic artwork and relatable cast of characters will make the YO-KAI WATCH manga series the ideal complement to the growing momentum behind this dynamic property”, says Beth Kawasaki, flawless Square’s Senior Editorial Director. And Hasbro plans to launch the toy line in January.

The sequel, Yo-Kai Watch 2, was released in three different versions (again, not unlike the multiplayer versions of the Pokemon games), and according to Nintendo, these were three of the six best-selling console and handheld games in Japan a year ago.
