Phil Spencer Teases Backwards Compatibility Announcement
I ask the backwards compatibility team this question a lot.
Spencer doesn’t necessarily want to invest the time, energy or money in remaking or relaunching these two titles, but he would like to see them come over to the current generation console using its new backwards compatibility functionality.
Spencer’s comments shouldn’t be taken as confirmation that the Xbox One will add original Xbox backwards compatibility support soon, or ever.
This feature has started to roll out to Preview Program members with 20 Xbox 360 titles, while finder.com.au already leaked over 130 games and continuously updates the list, Bidness ETC reported. “Need to finish 360 backwards compatibility for now”.
“News Ledge also reported that Xbox One players are clamouring for the inclusion of ” Red Dead Redemption”, Call of Duty” series, “Halo Wars”, and “Skyrm”. If you have a disc, or even a digital copy under your gamer tag, you will have the ability to install and play it on your Xbox One. Maybe this passion could lead to having more titles from this rare genre on Xbox One.
