Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl sings ‘My Hero’ to crying man at concert
Don’t cry, motherf*cker. I know you’re drunk.
“I love you man, look at you, holy sh-“. I’m going to sing this to your crying grown man ass right now.
Grohl then put Anthony to work – getting him to sing the final line of the song. “You never know what youu2019re going to get”, he said.
As usual, Grohl turned the whole thing into something special as he sang to Anthony, got the crowd to sign to him and they even did a duet. The frontman invited the male fan to the stage to perform with him after he spotted him crying in the audience, AceShowbiz reports.

When Grohl saw Kerrigone crying during “My Hero“, he brought the man on stage for a face-to-face serenade. Grohl spoke to the audience with humility and comedy about what he had just done, while laying on the floor in the front row awaiting EMT’s.
Having moved up to the front row, Grohl demanded that Anthony, the crying fan now jump on stage with him.
The singer, wearing a moon boot and holding crutches after breaking his leg earlier in the band’s tour in Gothenburg, Sweden, was performing an acoustic version of the 1998 hit song in Englewood, Colorado. The two men also shared some hugs. With tears welling up in his eyes, he was invited onstage to sing the iconic track with the band. Sill, Anthony didn’t take it personally, and said of Grohl, “What a cool man he was, a super-cool dude”.
