Skype for Android update lets you set custom ringtones
That isn’t everything however; also included in this update is the ability to forward photos from your chats, making it easier to share than ever before.
The ability to personalize contact ringtones is a boon for those who get a lot of Skype calls. Just tap the lower right part when you’re in a conversation with someone, then select ringtone options, then custom ringtone. With custom ringtones for each contact, users can easily recognize the caller, without having to look at their phone.
After receiving user feedback from the community, Microsoft’s Skype has continued to ensure that subsequent app updates will come with relevant chances in order to improve one’s Skype experience as requested. Yes there are some choices available, but what if you wanted to use your own sounds?
The most interesting aspect of the update, well, if you are into personalized ringtones and the like, is that now you can choose which ringtone you want per contact, as long as the tone is saved on your device. An option to forward the photo will pop up, allowing the users to send the picture to any of their contacts.
Skype’s also gone and changed avatar colors in group chats to help tell various groups of people apart.
