Volume on Vita delayed ‘for a couple weeks’
Alas, going off of the developer’s comments, it would appear that Volume is all but complete on PlayStation Vita, and the development team are merely waiting to submit the final, consumer-ready build to Sony for approval on the portable gaming device.
Citing the reasons for the announced delay in the release of the Volume game for PlayStation Vita, Bithell said that the delay is largely related to some Quality Assessment (QA) issues, which need to be addressed before the PlayStation Vita version of the game is launched. He has confirmed that cross buy will remain in place, so if you buy the PS4 version you’ll be able to get the Vita version for no extra cost when it launches.
Released yesterday on PlayStation 4 and PC, with a PlayStation Vita version coming in the next couple of weeks, Volume has already received a lot of feedback from players and creator Mike Bithell addressed some of it in a blog post today. We’ll get a more detailed update out on our plans for this soon. Locksley does not kill but commits his crimes through stealth. However, one criticism that has been levelled at it is the check-pointing system which seems rife for exploitation. It’s set to keep the game alive and fresh with the uncountable number of possibilities and a plethora of minds that will be working on providing the most intricate and hard challenges imagined.
