Banksy to unveil exhibition in Weston-super-Mare

Graffiti artist Banksy may be about to open a public exhibition in the west of England after sightings of figures close to the artist and a mysterious film set raised suspicions.

It’s been described as an “alternative to the sugar-coated tedium of the average family day out” and reflects a sinister twist on Disneyland.

Local authorities, however, claim the mysterious site is being used to shoot a crime thriller called Grey Fox by Hollywood producers Atlas Entertainment.

But it has now emerged that Banksy, previously named as Robin Gunningham, a former public schoolboy from Bristol, is behind the exhibition.

Information about the blockbuster states that it will be directed by Declan Whitebloom and is due to be released in September next year.

Speculation that the production was affiliated with the famed street artist began to mount when eagle-eyed observers spotted Holly Cushing, Banksy’s alleged manager who fans may recognize from Exit Through The Gift Shop, onsite talking to security guards.

Financial records show she also set up a limited company called Dismaland Ltd with Simon Durban, who is thought to be Banksy’s accountant, on May 1.

A giant pink castle, a windmill, an S-shaped gas tanker, and a metal horse are among the structures that have been slowly erected over the past few months.

The Bristol Post has also been sent a picture of an invite to the show that suggests a Banksy influence.

No-one, including the majority of staff, knew that the exhibition was being held until the doors were thrown open.
