Killed, 5 Wounded in Shooting in Western New York
Three people were killed and four injured in a drive-by shooting near a Boys and Girls Club in western New York on Wednesday.
Rochester Police said it happened as a basketball game was letting out at the Boys and Girls Club.
A Rural/Metro spokesperson said 7 people were shot and 2 of the people were pronounced dead at the scene.
Rochester Police Chief Michael Ciminelli urged anyone in the community with information about the shooting to come forward.
The shots were fired around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday. He says the investigation is a top priority.
Police are using Wilson High School as a command post.
Large crowds gathered at the scene of the incident as well as Strong Memorial Hospital where the wounded have been transported.
Police are investigating a deadly shooting on Genesee Street.
