Windows 10 Xbox App Update Brings High End Streaming & Many Improvements

At Gamescom in Cologne Germany, Loftis sat down with the Post Arcade freelancer Patrick O’Rourke to discuss the Xbox One’s new direction, as well as the console’s upcoming lineup of games.

To stream in the “Very High” setting now offered in the updated app, simply connect to the Xbox One, then go into Settings and Game Streaming.

A second tile now displays your Gamerscore and Achievement completion percentages for the highlighted game.

On his official Twitter page, Spencer also discussed that PC to Xbox One streaming would only make sense once mouse and keyboard support had been incorporated into the console. That’s right, basically any PC or tablet can now play (be streamed to) your Xbox One games. A new setting for Notifications will also arrive, that will allow players to enable and disable notifications in a multiplayer game or party. This time, Microsoft has unveiled via the Xbox Wire some other features that will debut with the Xbox One August System Update. You still need very gamer-focused values, but there’s lots of things you can do with our technology.

If you haven’t changed the default Windows 10 store configuration, the app update might already be there on your PC, as Microsoft set it up to automatically install new app versions when they are released.
