Strictly Come Dancing 2015: Singer Daniel O’Donnell is eighth celebrity
Yes, you read right – Daniel O’Donnell has been confirmed as one of the celebrities to take part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
“It’s exciting and I think it’s quite an honour to be asked because there’s so many people who could be asked to do it and here I am and I’m looking forward to it”.

The Irish singer was announced on BBC Radio 2 show Steve Wright in the Afternoon earlier today, and admitted he can not wait to get started on the BBC programme.
Daniel is no stranger to success after becoming the first artist to have a different album in the British charts every year for 25 consecutive years in 2012.
He’s known for his close relationship with fans, which has included holding tea parties outside his Donegal home in the past.
Daniel has had 20 UK Top 40 albums as well as 15 Top 40 singles and has sold 10 million records to date. Always a good sport, Daniel says: “No I haven’t done anything special to prepare…”
So far seven other celebrities have been confirmed, they are: Singer and reality star Peter Andre, BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, celebrity chef Ainsley Harriott, broadcaster Jeremy Vine, former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote, EastEnders actress Kellie Bright and newsreader Katie Derham. “I thought about taking a few dance lessons but thought it wouldn’t be allowed”.
