Randy Moss says he’s on Tom Brady’s side, no matter what
As to whether Brady is innocent of the whole deflating-footballs thing, which, lest we forget, is how this whole mess began, Sherman said, “It wasn’t just him”.
“It looked like the game has slowed down for him”, Moss said of Brady.
Turns out Moss is only, as famous Charlottean Michael Jordan once said, about 99.9 percent retired. “I told Tom first and foremost that I’m gonna stand by him regardless of what happens and I don’t call him to talk about anything negative so friends are supposed to stay positive and move you in the right direction and that’s the I’m there for”.
And then Moss, who was wearing Patriots gear at the practice session, walked away. It was great being around the guys.
Sitting out for four games would cost him $470,000 a game, or a total of $1.9 million based on his 2015 salary of $8 million. And anytime the game slows down for you, that’s unsafe because it means he’s able to think a little bit slower to be able to make decisions for the offense.
What he’s doing now with his career: “I just opened the Randy Moss Academy in Charlotte”. I think he was just at Kraft’s house last week for the AFC Championship.
“He’s making his throws, reading the defense, changing his “mike” calls and things like that”. Also attending practice was former Patriots receiver Troy Brown, who played in college at Marshall and now lives in Huntington, West Virginia…. “What more can you say?” I never called him Jerry West, I’ve always called him the National Basketball Association logo, because I thought that was something special. “It was a short-notice thing, and just by seeing the love and hearing the fans out of the state of West Virginia, I think this is a good thing that The Greenbrier is putting on”. “I finally got to meet my childhood hero, so it was a special day for me”. “I just told him that if the game has slowed down this much for you, only great things can happen”.
U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman, who has been asked by the NFL Players Association to void the suspension, warned a league lawyer during oral arguments in the scandal over underinflated footballs that there was precedent for judges to toss out penalties issued by arbitrators.
“I would say never, but ahhhh, let’s leave it at that”, he said.
