Google Nexus 5 (2015) news: Concept showcases leaked specs and features
This time of year articles are flying around about the next Google Nexus smartphone, rumored to arrive in October – in fact, rumors this year are that there will be not one, but TWO Nexus smartphones. The LG-built Nexus 5 smartphone will be smaller in size, while the Huawei Nexus will be more of a phablet with a bigger screen.
Google is expected to follow Apple and Samsung by launching two new flagship smartphones in the coming months. A new concept video of the Nexus 5 2015 has been created using the latest leaked information regarding the smartphone.
Having said this, the purported specs of the Huawei manufactured Nexus 6 include an octa-core Snapdragon 810 or may be even an 820 processor, which will be bundled together with 4 GB of RAM.
According to a new report and some leaked images, Huawei Nexus 6 will feature the same rear finger scanner as LG’s Nexus 5. Based on specifications of the LG-built Nexus 5 leaked by tipster @OnLeaks, Smit has shown in his concept video of how the LG Nexus could be actually designed.
Google has been following a very similar pattern when it comes to releasing Nexus devices, so it is indeed safe to say that Fall 2015 is the release window for Nexus 6. As of now, LG’s Nexus 5 is reportedly more likely to be equipped with a 5.2-inch display as opposed to the latter measurement. The Huawei Nexus phablet will be comparatively thicker at 8.5 mm and measure 6.6 mm at the thinnest end.
The leaks further reveals that the Nexus 6 may possibly run on Google’s latest mobile operating system, the Android Marshmallow OS or what is likely be otherwise known as either version 5.2 or 6.0, subject to the one the search engine giant chooses.
