Street Fighter V beta returns for round 2
By and large, Street Fighter 5 will retain much of what has made the fighting game series so popular.
Those taking part should install the most recent Street Fighter V patch.
It’s been rough for Capcom and Street Fighter fans alike.
As for North America and Asia, Capcom have stated that they will share details on both regional stress tests when they are “are confident with the results from this test”. Of course, this is totally separate from the promised five days of beta time, which were cut short earlier in the year after the company’s online infrastructure seemingly set on fire. Two limited-time, 8 hour testing periods are now being run in Europe, with the hope that success there will mean the game is ready to go for larger stress tests in North America and Asia.
The first test takes place in Europe from 4pm to midnight BST on Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21 (3am – 11am NZST on Friday and Saturday). It’s worth noting that the particulars of these stress tests aren’t fully known just yet; following a 1GB update last week, many were able to play the beta with minimal issues thanks to an internal stress test on Capcom’s end.
