Mockingbird/Lance Hunter ‘Agents of SHIELD’ Spin-Off Possible Once Again
According to Variety, ABC does not know when the series would premiere, or how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would set “Marvel’s Most Wanted” for launch.
Variety has news on the show, which those involved are reportedly saying is “not a spinoff, per se”, whatever that means.
ABC is preparing to order a pilot for a Mockingbird spin-off starring Adrianne Palicki’s Bobbi Morse character from Agents of Shield. But the network decided not to move forward with the project when announcing its new shows at upfronts, with ABC entertainment president Paul Lee noting that the characters had helped S.H.I.E.L.D. hit its “creative stride”. This incarnation is called Marvel’s Most Wanted, and it will feature the two characters on post-SHIELD adventures.
What is known, however, is that S.H.I.E.L.D. producers Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski will showrun and executive produce the series, along with co-writing the pilot. “All these women are kicking a** and I feel like it’s becoming more and more prevalent and men want to see that, not only women”.
Meanwhile, Netflix has four Marvel series in development. The second one, Jessica Jones, premieres this winter.
A look at what’s going to happen in season 3 of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. That would seem to remove the chances of any serious drama involving the couple – like the Season 2 finale, where Hunter was nearly killed walking into a trap using Mockingbird as bait – but then again, this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe we’re talking about.
