Diary Room: Derrick Levasseur’s “Weekly Warriors” – Big Brother 17 Week 8
Big Brother 17 returns for a new episode tonight, Thursday, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. They thought she might be trying to hype up that she is injured so she doesn’t seem like a threat, and therefore everyone would choose to keep her.
Liz, Becky, John, Austin, Meg, and Steve are all selected to play in the Veto competition.
It’s Otev the Rocking Roll, which means the HGs must retrieve names of evicted HGs from a bunch of food and bring them back up the ramp. When you came up and saw me talking to the twins and Austin?
While the revelation that Vanessa previously tried to backdoor Austin Matelson shocked both Liz and her twin sister Julia Nolan, it wasn’t enough for Liz to turn against her Austin’s Angels alliance.
As the game progresses, it’s becoming more of a possibility that some unlikely candidates could be in the final two for Big Brother 17. After that, it would likely require working with John and Steve to prolong their lives in the game. The entire house a feeling that somebody is coming back into the game. Steve mentions this competition is like musical chairs and it sort of is because after each round one person would be eliminated. He makes it clear to them that he’s been going after Vanessa for a long time and proceeds to throw her under the bus. Becky is out third after stealing a pile from Austin and then Meg is out next. Austin wants the win because Liz has promised to make out with him if he wins it. Liz gets it first and wins the Power of Veto. Austin is not sure where it is, but Becky finds it quickly and hurls herself to the drum. How everyone she has ever had a blow up with has gone home-besides Austin, who was only really saved because Clay and Shelli flipped so completely on sending him home.
John says that his strategy is to lay low this week and not make any moves that will undo the trust he has built with Austin and Liz.
After a few moments, however, Liz put an end to the thrills, leaving Austin alone with the one noise no man wants to hear in bed: A comical slide whistle. They SERIOUSLY need to take out Vanessa. Liz says that Vanessa is always playing the victim and she is taking it with a grain of salt. I agree with Liz in that Vanessa has become the new Audrey in wanting sympathy. The next morning Liz has a hickey and Julia is mortified, threatening to attack Austin with a bat if he does it again. Liz tells us that while she has made nominations, she could still backdoor Vanessa, and is not sure what to do. Liz has heard and seen these tears but is exhausted of them. Vanessa feels that things are weird with Austin and they don’t talk the same kind of game. But her closest allies are only turning against her because they are so annoyed that she thinks they are turning against her. And with Liz winning comps the way she is, I would be surprised if she wasn’t one of them.
