LeSean McCoy to be ready for Bills’ opener
The Bills backfield took another injury hit during this evening’s practice session with the Cleveland Browns. “McCoy is scheduled to undergo an MRI”. Shady sat down on the field and trainers immediately were called over while McCoy clutched his left leg. After two minutes on the ground LeSean was helped to his feet and limped off the field under his own power.
Running back LeSean McCoy had a less than amicable exit from Chip Kelly’s Philadelphia Eagles as he was traded to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for Kiko Alonso.
McCoy will be listed as week to week and will have enough time to recover before the Bills open the season hosting Indianapolis on September 13, the person said. Hopefully, this will be something that doesnt set him back too far.. Rookie Karlos Williams, seen as a serious challenger for the No. 2 running back job, is expected to be out for multiple weeks after a “procedure” that Ryan dubbed “sensitive”.
“I hope they’re quick learners”, Ryan said, referring to Hill and Seale.
Elsewhere • The NFL suspended 49ers wide receiver Jerome Simpson without pay for the first six games of the regular season for violations of the league’s substance-abuse policy.
Veteran Fred Jackson has been out for almost all of training camp with a hamstring injury.
“He’s so itching to get back, and that’s why we sped it up”. Sammy Watkins had tightness in his gluteal muscle, Robert Woods also dealt with tightness, and Marcus Easley already had been out with an injury suffered against the Carolina Panthers last week. Percy Harvin is expected to miss at least a week with an undisclosed injury.
Bills and their fans are holding their breath that it is a minor tear and he can play week 1 or part way through the season.
That left Ryan wondering what the makeup of his patchwork offense will resemble on Thursday.
