Julianne Hough is REALLY Excited to Marry Brooks Laich

According to Hough, she was dating casually and not really enjoying it before she met Laich.

The “Safe Haven” star broke the news on Instagram, where alongside a photograph of herself staring at her ring while wrapping her arms and legs around Brooks on a balcony overlooking a lake, she wrote: “We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement”.

She hasn’t shared a closeup pic of the diamond or given details about how the proposal went down, however, so fans will just have to wait. “This is certainly one of the most exciting times in my life, and I am so happy to share it with you all!”

Julianne said in an interview with Redbook last year that she made a conscious effort to be open and honest with Laich after taking a long look at her previous relationships-which include Ryan Seacrest-and said she always felt she was holding back to keep from getting hurt.

However, she also hints that she may be MIA in the next few weeks: “I’m going to take a slight social media time out to enjoy this special time with my fiancé (!)…” she wrote.

She then promised she would return in just a few days with even more exclusive details and photos.

The “Dancing with the Stars” judge started dating the Washington Capitals player in February 2014 after being set up on a date by a mutual friend. And I guess he was watching our hockey game … on Game Center on his iPad.

In the image, the dancer can be seen straddle-jumping the 32-year-old while sticking her left hand out towards the camera. She puts so much great out into the world.
