Street Fighter V Beta Returns Today…But Only In Europe
It’s been rough for Capcom and Street Fighter fans alike.
Street Fighter V is set to launch some time early next year. Error messages locked out all but the luckiest players, and doomed them to stare at a mocking title screen at best.
Capcom has announced on its blog, that the beta testing for Street Fighter V will resume today, albeit in a different form.
The first regional test will be begin in Europe on Thursday August 20 from 16:00-00:00 BST, and continue on Friday August 21 from 16:00-00:00 BST.
Ever since that date, Capcom have been quietly opening the servers at select times for small numbers of people to stress test the servers on a smaller scale.
Capcom attempted to host a beta test for Street Fighter V last month, but things didn’t work out as planned, and they had to postpone the beta after issuing a statement of apology. There’s no guarantee that those outside the specific regions will have the chance, but at this stage anything could happen. These stress-tests are over and above the promised 5 days of beta time. Depending on how that goes, they will decide upon dates and times for similar tests in North America and Asia.
Are you still excited for the game, despite the delay?
